Deputy Sheriff (Clark County, KS)
The Clark County Sheriff Office is interested in professional, highly motivated, problem solving oriented individuals for a full-time Deputy position. We are looking for individuals that are community oriented and have good interpersonal skills to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to enforcing all federal, state and local laws; taking calls for service; patrolling business districts and residential neighborhoods to deter and detect crime; investigate complaints; citing and/or arresting law violators; following up on pending reports and cases; serving civil process; protecting person and/or property. This individual will be expected to work well with surrounding counties and is required to live in the county at the time of starting employment with the agency.
TYPE: Full Time
SALARY: Pay will be determined based on experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: At least 21 years of age, US Citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain valid Kansas driver’s license, and no felony or major misdemeanor convictions. Certification from KLETC or equivalent preferred but no required.
