Deputy Jailer (Miami County Sheriff, KS)
The Miami County Sheriff's Office is seeking highly motivated people to serve as Deputy Jailer. Opened in 2018 the Miami County Sheriff operates a 96 bed jail with the newest technology to house inmates. Areas of operation of the Deputy Jailer include Booking, Pods Deputy, and working in the Control Room. Other duties include inmate movement to court hearings, and Classification's Deputy. Those with the agency who reach the age of 21 while employed as a Deputy Jailer will have the opportunity to be promoted to Deputy Sheriff. We promote from within!
Starting Salary, $ 15.15 with raise at 6 months and 1 year.
- 18 years of age
- High School Degree or GED
- No criminal past
- Drug free
- Pass physical and physiological exam
