University Police Officer (Pittsburg State University, KS)


Pittsburg State University has an open for University Police Officer in the University Police and Parking Services Department. Starting salary is a minimum of: $18.13 per hour for KLETC certified candidates, plus benefits package.

Necessary Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete basic law enforcement training program recognized by the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Commission before obtaining permanent status. KLETC certification preferred but not necessary to apply.
  • This position requires the use of a firearm for law enforcement duties; therefore, to be eligible for appointment to this position, candidates cannot have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence crime as set forth in 18 U.S.C § 922 (d) (9) and (g) (9).
  • At the time of appointment, the candidate must take and pass a physical examination and a drug screening test.
  • Must be a United States citizen, at least 21 years of age and must possess valid Driver's License
