Deputy Sheriff (Anderson County Sheriff's Office)
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a full time Deputy Sheriff position. Applicants should be self-motivated, community oriented, able to work with limited supervision and have the highest level of integrity. KLETC certified or eligible for reciprocity preferred but not required for the right candidate. Position will include performing routine patrol, criminal investigations, arrest and traffic related duties.
- Be able to pass an extensive background investigation, , medical exam, and drug screen.
- Be a U.S. citizen.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a valid Kansas driver's license.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Starting salary for uncertified Deputy Sheriff is $16.41/hr., increasing to $17.41/hr. after successful completion from Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. Depending on qualifications, years of experience, and other certification, eligible applicants may qualify for lateral pay with the general range between $17.41 to $22.63.
Deputies are provided uniforms, equipment, and a take home vehicle if residing in the county. Benefits include health, dental, vision, KP&F, gym membership, and paid time off (vacation/sick).
