Humboldt Police/Municipal Court Clerk

Performs a variety of routine clerical, administrative and technical work in receiving and dispatching non-emergency information; records management, processes request from the public, collects fines, posts citations, process monthly reports and court docket. Prepares journal entries and paperwork requested by attorneys and the Judge for court.

Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, minimum of 4 years of increasingly responsible and confidential related experience, or any equivalent combination of related education and experience in general office practices such as typing, filing, accounting or bookkeeping. NCIC certification or capable of passing the NCIC certification training is a plus. Must work well with the public and different personalities in co-workers, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful situations.

  • No felony convictions or any domestic violence
  • Six-month probationary period
  • Must have telephone service for emergency contact

Negotiable, dependent on experience and training
