Annual Salary: $64,820.79 to $96,269.44

Butler County, Kansas, Sheriff's Office located in El Dorado, KS is now taking applications for the Jail Administrator position. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Butler County Jail in accordance with County, State and Federal regulations when applicable. The Jail Administrator is responsible for organizing, developing and executing the required activities such as adopted policy and procedures, budgeting and financial management, staffing, supervising all County Jail personnel, training, extensive liaison activities, and general day-to-day administrative tasks.

Required Education and/or Experience: Five years related experience, High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and one year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in law enforcement, jail supervision, public safety Lieutenant or equivalent. Demonstrated administrative, leadership and management ability, budget preparation and management. Degree in management, criminal justice, corrections, psychology, sociology or other closely related field.

Preferred Education and/or Experience: Six years or more related experience, High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or a Bachelor's degree from a college or university and two years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
