Deputy Sheriff (Douglas County)

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (KS) is accepting applications from currently certified law enforcement officers for the position of Deputy Sheriff. Required qualifications include at least 21 years of age, a high school diploma or G.E.D., basic computer skills, good written and oral communication skills, must possess a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one, reside within 45 minutes of the Sheriff's Office upon employment, and graduation from an accredited law enforcement basic academy with the qualifications to be a licensed Kansas law enforcement officer. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test. Further testing such as psychological testing and a polygraph may also be required. Shift work is mandatory for this position. Starting Salary and Benefits: Salary is $20.23 per hour, with excellent benefits.
