Patrol Deputy (Washington County Sheriff's Office)

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is currently taking applications for full-time Patrol Deputy positions. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to enforcing state and local laws, taking calls for service, patrolling business and residential neighborhoods, investigating complaints/crimes, serving civil process, and protecting persons and/or property.

Type: Full-Time

Salary: Starting pay for non-certified is $16.95/hour, or $18.20/hour for KLETC certified. Pay is negotiable depending on experience and/or education. We have an excellent benefits package to include health insurance, KPERS retirement, life insurance, generous paid time off accrual, and other optional benefits.

Minimum qualifications: At least 21 years of age, US citizenship, high school diploma or equivalent, possess Kansas driver's license or ability to obtain, no felony or major misdemeanor convictions. All applicants are subject to a thorough background investigation, drug screening, medical evaluation, and psychological evaluation.
