The Rooks County Sheriff's Office is currently taking applications for a full-time Deputy Sheriff. Deputy duties would include but are not limited to patrol of the county and the City of Stockton, investigation of accidents and criminal offenses.

Rooks County has 6 towns and Webster State Park. We employ 8 full-time deputies that work 12-hour shifts, fourteen shifts a month on average. Three days off every other weekend. Uncertified starts at $17 per hour and certified or experience is negotiable from there. This includes a full benefits package with paid family health insurance.

Requirements for the position are:

Must be 21 years of age, have a valid Kansas Driver's License, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions, and must possess a High School Diploma/ GED equivalent.
