The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Full-time Deputy Sheriff. Duties include patrol, traffic, juvenille and criminal code enforcement; crime & traffic accident scene investigations, warrant and civil process service; and preparation of reports documenting activities. The duty station is Oskaloosa, Kansas. Some travel is required. A Full-time Kansas Law Enforcement Certification is required. The selected candidate must undergo and pass a physical capacity test, a drug and hearing screening, and a psychological examination. Candidates must be free of felony convictions, be 21 years of age at time of appointment and hold a valid driver's license.
