The Clark County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking a motivated individual for Patrol Deputy within our agency. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to; patrol work, responding to emergency calls, dispatched calls, conducting investigations, interviewing, gathering evidence, serving warrants, civil process, enforcing traffic laws, enforcing federal and state laws, preparing reports, and the ability to work with the general public of Gray County. Deputy in this position must be able to act without direct supervision and exercise independent judgment in handling emergencies. Deputies have take home patrol vehicle, family health insurance, dental, and Kansas Police and Fire. Deputies work rotating 10 hour shifts with every other weekend off. Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays. Clark County Sheriff's Office will provide uniforms, equipment, duty pistol, rifle, shotgun and Taser.

SALARY:
Pay based on previous LE training, certification and experience. Raise will be given at end of six-month probationary period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED, must be at least 21 years of age, be a United States Citizen, possess a valid driver's license and have no felony or domestic violence convictions. Certified Kansas Law Enforcement Officer required. County residency required if hired. Applicants must not have any Brady/Giglio material in their background that would make them ineligible for hiring. Shift schedules will include some weekends, holidays, court appearances and overtime. Applicants will be subject to an oral interview, a thorough background check, and additional conditional job testing. Applicant must be able to pass employment drug screen.
