McPherson County Sheriff's Office is looking for skilled and dedicated individuals to serve and protect the community and citizens of McPherson County KS.

Pay Grade: starting Non-Certified 17A - $20.84, Certified 17B $21.68 (step increase after successful completion of 6-month introductory period)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must possess a valid KS driver's license
• Must never have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude and be free of misdemeanor convictions for the last twelve (12) months
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen
• Must be able to pass a physical examination and evaluation
• No Brady/Giglio issues

Essential functions include but are not limited to patrolling the county and issuing citations for traffic infractions, investigating accidents, property and personal crimes, apprehending and arresting of suspects, and serving civil process papers.
