Prospective Deputy Sheriff applicants must meet all minimum requirements. An applicant must complete several steps before a conditional offer of employment is made. The applicant must complete and submit an application, pass the Civil Service Test, complete a personal interview, pass a physical agility course, a polygraph, medical exam, psychological exam, thorough background investigation, and receive certification by the Sheriff's Hiring Board.
