Ellis County Sheriff's Office is looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to serve and protect the communities and citizens of Ellis County, Kansas.

Pay Grade: starting $21.70 (step increase to $22.49 after successful completion of 6-month probationary period)

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants for this position must be KLETC certified (or have been awarded a certificate for completion of a full-time basic course of accredited instruction outside of Kansas).
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
• Must be able to pass a psychological exam to assess suitability for position.

Essential functions include but are not limited to patrolling the county and issuing citations for traffic infractions, investigating accidents, property, and personal crimes, apprehending and arresting of suspects, and serving civil process documents and warrants.
