POSITION: Communications Officer

TYPE: Due to the retirement of our long-standing communication supervisor, we are looking to fill a full-time 911 Dispatcher position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Candidate must possess a valid driver's license. This position will require working a minimum of 12 hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have knowledge of Windows based software and have good communication and multi-tasking skills. Need to be self motivated and willing to work in a rural law enforcement environment and must be able to pass a full background investigation. The minimum starting pay is $18.00 per hour but could be raised based on experience. Benefits include paid premiums for employee & family Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Health Insurance, KPERS retirement, paid vacation and sick time.
