Wallace County Sheriff's Office is the only Local Law Enforcement in Wallace County KS. We are accepting applications for a Patrol Deputy position. Duties include but are not limited to: patrolling the local communities and county; responding to emergency and non-emergency calls; traffic control for special events, Eg: parades. As Deputies, we also are responsible for the County Jail and perform Jailer duties. When not responding to a call or the Jail, Deputies are highly encouraged to engage in Pro-Active traffic stops and encounters to catch offenders. Starting wages at $21/hour with one year experience. The Wallace County Sheriff's Office is proactive in providing deputies with quality training opportunities in various areas of interest to better serve the community. Take home patrol vehicle. All uniforms, firearms, and outer-vest body armor are provided. We work 12-hour shifts scheduled as 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off making every other weekend a 3-day weekend.
