The Graham County Sheriff's Office is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. This is a full-time position. Graham County Sheriff's Office maintains a jail and dispatch. This position is responsible for performing uniformed patrol duties and enforcing all federal, state, and local laws. Serve Court documents for civil and criminal proceedings. Aid the public daily. All other duties as assigned by the Sheriff. Applicant must be able to live and work in a rural community.

Graham County has US 24, US 283 and a portion of K-18 traveling through the county. Hill City is the county seat. Graham County is located 1 hour to the N.W. of Hays and 1 hour East of Colby. For your fishing/camping needs, Antelope Lake is by Morland, primitive camping only and Webster State Lake is within 20 minutes east of Hill City. Trexler lake is 4 miles north with an awesome walking trail, no camping allowed. Graham County also has excellent land for hunting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age and U.S. citizen.
• Be in good standing with KS CPOST if currently certified in Kansas.
• Certification preferred, however, not necessary with right candidate.
• No Felony or disqualifying convictions.
• Pass a pre-employment background investigation and interview, able to pass a drug test, and pre-employment physical.
• No Brady/Giglio issues.
• Possess at least a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid driver's license.
