Position Summary:
The Stanton County Sheriff's Office is seeking qualified, motivated individuals to serve as full-time Sheriff's Deputies in Johnson City, Kansas. Deputies are responsible for enforcing laws, maintaining public safety, and serving the citizens of Stanton County with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Conduct investigations and complete detailed reports
• Serve legal documents and arrest warrants
• Transport inmates and provide courtroom security
• Engage in proactive community policing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen, 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• No felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
• Must meet Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) standards
• Ability to pass a background check, physical fitness test, psychological exam, and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• KLETC certification
• Prior law enforcement or military service
• Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
